Summary: Instant Classic from one of the best MC's out there!!
Comment: I could go in depth about how each and every track is just perfection and how Q-Tip is just like soul for your ears with his flow and song, but anyone who knows of him and has followed his work from the Brilliant ATCQ to his previous solo release 'Amplified' will know that he is a force to be reckoned with and will not let you down - and with this new release he most definitely hasn't!!
I have it on constant play in my car and on my Sony Walkman!! It is just THE album of the year (Pharoah Monche's Desire being a very close contender).
Do yourself a favour check this out and you shall not be dissappointed!!
Also check out his AKA side project 'Kamal the Abstract' it is also a classic - but is completely different, yet still chilled/funky at the same time!!

Summary: The best thing to come out of Hip Hop and R'n'b in years
Comment: My elation surrounding this album is primarily based on the lift it gave me following the absoulte disappointment I felt in listening to Kayne West's "808 and Heartbreaks".
I have long felt dislousioned with the state and commercialism of Hip Hop music. "The Renaissance" brings back feelings of nostalgia when Hip Hop used to be intoxicating, cutting edge and full of surprises.
Buy this album. It is brilliant. Q-Tip, I salute you.
PS - It is good to hear D'Angelo again!

Summary: Q-Tip has made a comeback differently!
Comment: Although the album is short (47 mins) it is well worth the purchase! Q-Tip has come back with the ol skool flow of hip hop into the present era. Play the album right through to get wid da vibe. Believe (track 11) featuring D' Angelo is definitely a favorite 4 me.
